2000 Point Forces--#90 terrain Effect--Old Radiation Test Site

Opponents--Twisted Victor-<Neo-Soviets> VS. Merc--<Union Confederates>

Turn #1--Twisted Victor wins initiative and force moves the Titan APC.  Ursa Fires and takes down the Ares with one shot---SEVERE damage--but still alive! Other Ursa scores damage on Titan, Standard Infantry (SI) kills nearly half of one Vanguard squad.

Turn #2--Twisted Victors Forces take out 2 Elite Infantry (EI). Ursa attempts to take out the Titan that moved in and dropped Armored Assault Squad (AAS) into his midst with the Coordinated Strike option from the Commander.  Ursa Sprays Chem blaster in an attempt to take out AAS with the risk of killing a Rad Troop that was the lone survivor of the AAS assalt.

"But, sire, the Archers will hit our men..."

"Yes, but it will hit theirs also."

Rad Troop dies under not-so-friendly fire, with no effect to AAS. SI moves out of cover of utility shed to assault a Vanguard squad taking out all but three. Titan is lost to Spetznav fire. Rad troopers come in and force 2 wounds on the advancing SI squad. Ares stands and attempts to take out Twisted Victor, but couldn't hit the dirt if it aimed at the ground!  Chem Grunts advance from cover and kill 2 SI.

Turn #3--Ghost of Great Bear appaers...scares shit out of troopers, Commander and Great Bear dual off with no effect on each other!  SI fire on Chem runts squad hitting a grunts tank, detonating him and his squad in a ball of toxic gas...insert fart joke... Merc laughs hysterically as Twisted Victor gives him the finger.  SI squad off to left fires on Rad Hound, also detonating it...however at safe distance to all!  (I laugh some more and wipe sweat from brow).  Ursa 1 Chaingun downs 2 AAS troopers. Remaining Vanguard survive an unholy SI barrage...Bastards!  Rad troopers in the cemetary...won't have to go far...suffer 40% casualties under SI Rottweiler MG fire. Twisted Victor is killed y EI squad, remaining AAS are eliminated by other Ursa's Chem sprayer, and then destroys gimped Ares.

Radiation effects at end of Game: Kills 3 more SI troopers and Commander. Neo-Sov's suffer 2 Spetznav's, 2 Vanguards, 1 Rad trooper, an Ursa and the Officer.

Twisted Victor takes decisive Victory...I run away in shame!

Sorry this took so long to get done, I've been very busy. After Action Story will be up here soon!  Stay tuned!
Staff Sergeant Jackson grabbed the rucksack of the fallen soldier in front of him and pulled him on his side against Colonel Green for cover, just as several rounds pelted the corpse of corporal Sanchez.

"Get me a medic!" he barked into his comm unit as he loosened the Colonel's helmet.

When it disconnected from the seal the familiar hiss of escaping atmosphere from the rebreathers was absent...not a good sign, that meant there was a breach somewhere in his armor.  He hefted the heavy helmet off and stared in momentary shock.  What he saw under the helmet was terrifying. The Colonel's face was twisted in convulsions, red with bursting blisters that spewed yellow green puss across his burning face. His features contorted as he gasped hard and began to vomit up blood.

"Colonel!  Stay with me, sir!" Jackson yelled to the man as shots zipped past his head. "I need a goddamn medic!" he hollered as loudly as his throat would let him, but it was drowned out by the explosions and screams of agony that surrounded his position. More debris rained down on them as the Ares behind them took a devastating and ultimately fatal shot to the cockpit.  Jackson leaned over to cover the Colonel as chunks of metal and human remains fell on top of them.

The Colonel coughed hard again releasing a mouthful of blood and tissue, his pale blue eyes opened and fixed on the Sergeants face just as they began to glaze over boiling in their sockets.  Milky white fluid poured from his dying eyes as his face turned into a distented bloat covered in vile fluids and seering burns.

"Fucking Chem grunts!" he said quietly, realizing he wouldn't need a medic anymore, just a priest.

A long forced breath burst from the Colonel's mouth with a geyser of blood and tissue.  The harsh sound was painful to hear, his body lurched up and fell back to the earth...he was dead...what a way to go.

"This is Staff Sergeant Jackson to all units, fall back to designated rendevouz point and prepare for extract." He pointed to a soldier falling back and waved him over to help him move the Colonel's body.  The trooper immediately obeyed and ran to the Sergeant.  They both grabbed onto the inner collar of the armored suit and began to drag the limp officer towards the extract point.  After a few minutes they stopped, the weight of the suit just too much to drag any further.

"We'll hunker down here and wait for the extract to come to us." he told the trooper with him who took up an unsuported firing position next to him, and called in the extract order as the rest of the unit fell back past them.  Within seconds the eardrum bursting whine of Titan lift jets soared over them landing just a few feet away.  Two soldiers jumped from the rear hatch and hurried over to them. They grabbed onto the armored legs and helped them haul the Colonel's body into the APC.

As the Titan lifted off, Sergeant Jackson looked through the rear view port and watched as the Neo-Soviets grew ever smaller in the distance...celebrating their victory.

Comrade Commissar Alexi Vladistok stood with his hands clutched behind his back.  His high brimmed hat and long black trench coat made his tall slender figure even more pronounced, and intimidating. He watched the beauty of his troopers moving around the battlefield that had been soaked in their enemies blood.  Today was a great day for Mother Russia's brave boys. What better glory than to die for the greatness of the motherland?  He thought to himself..and what worse way to die than a traitors death?

He turned and faced the two soldiers that were shackled behind him against the storage shed...the two that had run in cowardice.  The very reason a rearguard was always in place was to stop such pathetic attempts to avoid one's fate as brave soldiers of the Neo-Soviet empire and it never failed. He looked at the two in utter disgust and spat at them. His gaunt facial features bunched into deep anger at the very sight of them forcing his high cheekbones to stand out even further.

He pulled his Viper pistol from its holster, walked up to the Rad Trooper directly in front of him, and without slowing down put the tip of the barrel to the troopers forehead and squeezed the trigger. The back of the mans skull exploded in a mix of blood, bone and brain matter, smattering the wall behind him in a most grotesque display of discipline.  He looked over to the  other man and reached for his uniform collar grabbing it firmly in his long bony fingers pulling the man face to face.

"I expect such displays and behavior of cowardice from a lowly Rad Trooper!" he spat, "But from a Vanguard?! One of my Elite!  You disgust me!" He growled as he moved the Viper under the man's chin, sliding it gently into the soft spot under the jaw. "I am tempted not to kill you quickly, but every second you draw breath is a disgrace to the Motherland!" Alexi Pulled the trigger. The Vanguard's head burst into a geyser of gore as the nearly headless corpse slumped to the ground in a heap at his feet. He kicked the corpse off of his boot as he wiped away the remants of the man's face from his own.

Raising the pistol high above his head he slowly turned to face the growing crowd. "If you will not risk death at the hands of your enemies, you will most certainly die at the hands of your Comrades!" His stern face like that of a statue froze with an expression of pure hatred. His eyes met those of each and every man before him. "There is no glory in this death, it is without meaning! Die for your Comrades!  Die for your Motherland!  Do not die for your cowardice!" He spat violently, emphatically as he spoke above the crowd. "Place these bodies on the front of the lead transport. Let all know the price for weakness and cowardice. Let them know it will not be tolerated!"

Several troopers hurried forward to collect the bodies and haul them over to strap them across the front of their lead truck. Body matter spilled from the corpses as they were quickly lifted. leaving behind a stain of obedience.

Commisar Vladistok holstered his Viper and drew a small silver flask from a pocket in his coat. He unscrewed the cap and held it high for all to see. "To victory! To Mother Russia!" he yelled before pulling th flask back down, draining it deeply before pasing it to a trooper near him. The crowd roared with ecstatic cheering as Alexi moved in amongst them and dissappeared.
As promised...here it is!  The after action story!
